Topical Numbing

A numbing cream is applied and allowed to take full effect. The discomfort of the procedure is minimal, and most fillers contain lidocaine within the formulation for added comfort.

Filler Placement

Using either a fine needle or blunt cannula depending on the area, the filler is placed at the precise depth required. The cannula technique reduces the risk of bruising significantly and is preferred for most areas of the face.

How long do fillers last?

Between six and eighteen months, depending on the area treated, the density of filler used, and individual metabolism. Areas of higher movement, such as the lips, tend to metabolise filler faster than structural areas like the cheeks or temples.

Are fillers reversible?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down the filler precisely. This is one of the reasons AAYNA uses only hyaluronic acid-based fillers.

Is the treatment painful?

A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure, and most fillers contain lidocaine. The experience is generally well-tolerated. Clients describe mild pressure or a brief sting at injection points.

What is the downtime?
